Speakers:
Dr. Martin Svatos, Ph.D.
Martin is one of the leading Czech mediators and arbitrators cknowledged by several international awards. He has acted in more than 200 both international and domestic cases in mediation (more than 500 mediated hours). He focuses mainly on IT aw, energy law and construction disputes. With the success rate more than 85% of the cases, he belongs to the most successful mediators in the Central Europe. His experiences in alternative dispute resolution were appreciated when he became the Secretary to the Working group of the ICC Czech Republic for mediation. Martin has acted in sveral arbitration both as presiding arbitrator, member of arbitral tribunal and of counsel (Czech Exchange Arbitration Court, Arbitration Court attached to the Czech Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture, VIAC, Czech Football Association). Martin lectures at the Charles University in Prague (Czech Republic) and at the Seminar of European and Comparative Law in Urbino (Italy) where he is in charge of the negotiation, mediation and arbitration courses. He has been visiting professor at many universities all around teh world (Faculté Libre de Droit Institut Catholique de Toulouse, at the Comenius University in Bratislava (Slovakia), at the Shanghai University of Political Science and Law and at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (both PRC), Georgetown University (Washington DC)). He has been a speaker at numerous international conferences.

Pál Belenyesi, Ph.D. (Hungary/Belgium)
Pál has 15 years of experience in representation of company interests in intercultural negotiations and European affairs. He had built up his know-how in European institutions, private companies and national public institutions.
He now works as a business adviser to non-European entities, advising clients on business strategies, data protection, antitrust and EU regulatory environment. He has clients from Europe, America and Asia. Through his wide network of contacts, he has been representing successfully economic and trade interests in the European Union, while preserving the clients’ integrity.
Pál also holds three framework contracts with the European Parliament’s Research Directorate and one Political Committee as an academic advisor, and is a regular consultant/contributor to several EU framework contracts on competition and digital markets. As part of his academic assignments, besides lecturing, he advises national competition and regulatory authorities on digital platforms and Big Data.
Pál speaks and negotiates in five languages, and holds a master degree and a PhD in law and economics.
